Kevin Montiel, LMSW, is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Master Social Worker who has been providing psychotherapeutic services since 2020. He earned his Master of Social Work from the Columbia University School of Social Work and also holds a master’s degree in clinical research Methodology from Fordham University’s Department of Psychology. Kevin has experience working with diverse populations, including racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQIA+ communities, individuals living with chronic illnesses, and those navigating substance use–related concerns. His clinical experience spans a range of settings, including community health centers, private practice, forensic environments, and consulting agencies. Kevin utilizes an integrative, client-centered approach and draws from evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based interventions, harm reduction, and queer-affirming therapy. He is committed to providing a supportive, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful and sustainable change.
