    Leah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has worked in the behavioral health field since 2015. Leah obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hunter College and then went on to obtain her master’s degree in mental health counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Leah is also a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor and has had additional training and experience treating the effects of trauma and symptoms PTSD. Leah has worked with adults providing counseling on a variety of other mental and emotional symptoms such as depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, anger, and low self-esteem, among others. As a psychotherapist, Leah understands that each person is unique, and therapy is not a “one size fits all.” Leah works collaboratively with her clients to identify their goals, find the coping skills and interventions that work best for them, and help them achieve what they set out to accomplish in therapy. Leah also welcomes feedback and encourages her clients to take an active role in the therapeutic process. Leah is confident that with the right support, everyone can lead healthier and happier lives.
